  • “A system is perfectly designed to get the results it gets.” — W. Edwards Deming

I’m Yehia Badawy, a learning-design practitioner working at the intersection of education, technology, and human behavior. I focus on how individual variation shapes learning, and I design environments and tools that help people make sense of new concepts, systems, and experiences.

I founded Camp Altitude, a youth programming initiative in Cairo that introduced students to computational thinking, digital citizenship, and project-based learning. I later led digital learning and innovation at a K–12 school, implementing new systems and strengthening classroom practice through close collaboration with teachers, students, and families.

My work also extends into community and digital spaces. I’ve built learning communities that help people explore emerging technologies responsibly, and I’ve worked with first-time technology users, early-career teachers, and adolescents navigating unfamiliar systems. As co-founder of Rain, I designed and helped scale tools for more than a million users across the Middle East, with a focus on trust, clarity, and accessible learning pathways in regulated environments.

Across all my projects, I try to design for real contexts—people’s motivations, constraints, and lived experience—and to turn those insights into simple, adaptive supports that improve learning and decision-making in everyday settings.
